Wang Jiaojiao's beautiful life
"Why didn't I think of this?" Liu Wen hammered her head in annoyance, "Fortunately you are smart." Wang Jiaojiao sighed, walked to the window and gently lifted a corner of the curtain to look out. Dust was flying outside the window, and several military trucks were slowly passing by, the trucks filled with haggard-looking refugees. "The world is like this..." She murmured softly. At this moment, the door handle suddenly turned. "Shh!" Wang Jiaojiao turned around suddenly and made a silencing gesture to Liu Wen. The two held their breath and stared at the door lock nervously. With a "click", the door was pushed open. A burly man walked in carrying a bulging hiking bag. "I'm back!" He shouted in a low voice, "I found some cans and mineral water." Liu Wen opened her mouth in surprise, and when she was about to speak, Wang Jiaojiao beat her to it: "Brother! You're finally back!" She quickly walked up to him and took the backpack, "We just finished registration, and the soldier said..." The man was stunned for a second, his eyes quickly glanced between the two, and then he nodded knowingly: "I encountered a patrol on the road and was delayed a bit." Watching their tacit performance, Liu Wen suddenly realized. She hurried forward and pretended to be familiar with him and helped her "brother" dust himself off: "That's right, we're worried to death." The man took off his backpack and took out a handful of crumpled candies from his pocket: "Here, I picked them up on the road." He winked at the two girls and lowered his voice, "My name is Zhang Yi. It seems that we are going to form a temporary 'family'." Outside the window, the setting sun sprinkled the last trace of blood on their feet, and the shadows of the three stretched out on the mottled wall.
