About This Novel
I am a man who crawled out of the dead. I walked past those relatives who were sleeping underground. I thought I must have been entrusted with something in my life for more than fifty years. I have never dared to open that memory because there were too many souls rushing out to tell their own stories. I was afraid that the weight of the stories would make people unable to bear it. However, there was always a persistent call to me in the dark. It was originally a nursery rhyme that wept blood, singing on behalf of the aphasic. There are so many indelible traces of villages and human settlements around this slopeland planted with rapeseed and wheat... April 4, 2009 - Qingming Festival in the new year. This is a piece of sloping land planted with rapeseed and wheat. The name of this sloping land is "Daizhuang".
