Happiness
by (new Zealand) Katherine Mansfield
About This Novel
This collection of novels includes a total of 15 short stories, including one of the author's most controversial short stories, "Happiness". The author depicts the intense inner conflicts of the characters through delicate writing. In the eyes of others, the life of each protagonist is happy and joyful. They may be middle-aged and mothers; Living at the bottom of society, working for others, or young people full of ideals, their living situation is obviously not as peaceful and quiet as reflected in their material conditions. They are sometimes surprised, sometimes anxious, sometimes sad and angry, and there is never a moment of peace in their hearts. The superficial happiness actually masks greater misfortune.
