About This Novel
This book is Woody Allen's latest collection of short essays, including a total of eighteen articles, ten of which were originally published in The New Yorker and eight of which are new works. In the book, Woody Allen cuts into various cultural events from a unique perspective, such as popular movies being adapted into best-selling novels, a stuntman kidnapped by a mistaken star, Nietzsche's recipes and linear theory, and explores social news, such as the sale of prayers and conductive materials that can charge mobile phones. Fuhe Sotheby's auctions sky-high truffles, telling about trivial matters in life, such as nannies writing books to expose their employers, various ways to enter high-end kindergartens, gifted teenagers and false advertisements. In whimsical scenes, he uses extreme irony and banter to show the pitiful and ridiculous world in his eyes.
