Writer Ben Mills returned to his hometown of Jerusalem Grove Town after many years of absence. The town was increasingly declining. There were many old people and poor people here. Young people left high school and flew away, never to return to their hometown. More than a year ago, unusual and strange things began to happen in the town: residents gradually "disappeared" mysteriously, and rumors spread among residents of nearby towns, giving the town a bad reputation as "haunted." Ben Mills discovered that the gloomy old Masten House still stood on the cliff overlooking the town. Childhood nightmares kept coming to mind, and the long-suppressed fear in his heart was infinitely magnified... As mysterious tenants moved into the Marsden House, the town fell into inexplicable uneasiness: the Glick brothers disappeared mysteriously, and Lao Wen's hound died... Disappearances and deaths continued to visit Jerusalem Garden Town, and evil factors were ready to stir in the air.
