Orphan Train
About This Novel
It has been ranked No. 1 On the New York Times novel list for 85 consecutive weeks and has been sold in 36 countries. Cai Kangyong sincerely recommends it. The joys and sorrows of life spanning a century are comparable to the profound emotion of "The Kite Runner". Although not all separations lead to reunion, what is lost will come back in another way. From 1854 to 1929, the Orphan Train from the eastern United States carried tens of thousands of homeless children to the Midwest. They were chosen at various stops along the way, and their future fate was determined entirely by luck. The 9-year-old girl Vivian is one of them, but good luck did not befall her. For her, boarding the orphan train was just a small part of the curtain of joy and sorrow of fate. Today, Vivian is 91 years old. She has lost too many things in her long life, which she dares not recall. An accidental act of kindness led Vivian to meet the orphan Molly, and the past flooded her again. However, this time life gave me the answer I deserved.

After reading the last page and closing the book, it was actually surprisingly dull and not as moving as the gimmicks and publicity suggested. Many times, shock and emotion do not necessarily manifest as tears and sadness, but rather a certain strength that adds courage and love for life. This best-selling book gives you such silent but great power. Compared with those wandering lives, you should accept all the joys and sorrows life has to offer with love and courage.
As an orphan, I have actually known for a long time that no one can protect you forever. What I need and don't need is only understood by myself. Care can only be said, and everything depends on myself.
I know so much and I've seen people at their most mean, desperate, and selfish, and all of this makes me cautious. So I learned to pretend, learned to smile and nod, and pretended to feel the same when I was not touched at all. I learned to pretend, to pretend to be the same as everyone else, even though my heart was already broken.
A very good book. Although not all separations can be expected to be reunited, what is lost will come back in another way. Yes, what is lost will come back in another way. I will believe in love and believe that everyone has difficulties that are already unspeakable. We need to understand that the world is unpredictable. We can only cherish the people around us who love you and love others. Instead of waiting for the love of others, love others, regardless of family, friendship or love.
A road away from home and back home. No matter what, the only way back is to not give up on yourself.
What kind of pain is it that can make a person unwilling to give love to others because of fear of loss, and therefore give up his own flesh and blood? The life course of a Vivian in the first twenty years, which was full of holes, was just a corner of the fate of the 200,000 orphans on the orphan train. The miserable experience was almost suffocating, but they still had to accept the arrangement of being slaughtered. Each living life was materialized, and "use" was exchanged for survival. The value and meaning of life were indifferently forgotten by most people. What a sad era this is! The lives of Vivian and Jasmine are similar but different. Both have gone through ups and downs, both have closed themselves off (one no longer loves others, the other refuses to be loved), and both have experienced turning points and finally embarked on the "road home". One of the most important points is - never give up on yourself, you are the one who can truly save yourself.
After reading the first chapter, I feel like it is a sad story.
I just realized that the pain I was experiencing was nothing at all!
hurt parting
Life has been saddened by parting since ancient times, and it is even more embarrassing to leave the Qingqiu Festival in the cold

Just reading the title of the book makes me feel cold and sour.
Although not all separations lead to reunion, what is lost will come back in another way.
