"The Name of the Rose" is Umberto Eco's masterpiece. The story takes place in a monastery in medieval Italy. The Franciscan friar William and his disciple Adso went there to prepare for the mediation between the Holy Roman Emperor and the Pope. As soon as the two arrived, a murder occurred in the monastery. William, who was good at reasoning, was entrusted by the abbot to investigate. The murders have not stopped, one person dies every day. The labyrinthine monastery holds many secrets. When the secret is revealed, the truth about the murder is also revealed. The monastery was destroyed in a fire.
