About This Novel
This book discusses the poets from the Tang and Song dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, comments on their gains and losses, and describes their evolution. However, due to various reasons, the original and sequels were published separately. The main volume is "Lingxi Ci Shu", which was published by Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House in 1987. The sequel was "Talks on Ancient and Modern Ci Studies", published by Taipei Wanjuanlou Book Co., Ltd. In 1992 and Yuelu Publishing House in 1993. The two authors have profound knowledge of poetry, and every discussion can be said to be a perfect infiltration of knowledge, emotion and meaning. Therefore, this book was once a popular classic work on poetry research.
