This book is one of the "Cantonese Commentaries" series. Rao Pengzi was born in Chaozhou, Guangdong in 1935. Professor and doctoral supervisor in the Chinese Department of Jinan University. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Social Science Circles, Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Writers Association, Vice President of the Chinese Literary Theory Society, Vice President of the Chinese Comparative Literature Society, President of the China World Chinese Literature Society, and a member of the National Social Science Fund Chinese Literature Discipline Review Committee. He is currently the honorary president of the World Chinese Literature Society of China and the vice president of the World Chinese Literature Federation. Published 15 books (including co-authors) including "Chinese and Western Comparative Literature and Art" and "Comparative Literature and Overseas Chinese Literature". This book contains many representative articles by Rao Pengzi, including "Thoughts on Literary Criticism", "From Local Academics to Overseas Sinology", "On the Comparison of Chinese and Western Poetics", "Overseas Chinese Literature from a Multicultural Perspective", etc.
