It's not history, it's just a new joke in a cloak.
(The first time I wrote a book review, it was out of compliance and was swallowed) I don't think this is writing history. Popularizing and simplifying ancient classical Chinese books is a "helpless move" to cater to the majority of people today who "have no time or energy" to read. There is nothing wrong with the general trend. Nowadays, whether in the market or on the Internet, you can see many relatively good books or articles in this regard. But in this book I only saw the author's (I think vulgar) ridicule of history. The dialogues between the characters are wild and imaginative, and are filled with Internet slang. Nowadays, many people are trying their best to restore traditional culture, and making history alive is also an important issue. Making history come alive does include making history more familiar and accessible to more people. But this does not mean that history can be unscrupulously processed and transformed to specifically "cater" to some people. The performance of elegant music pays special attention to the bells and chimes of gold and stone. You can lack the earthen leather, silk, wood and bamboo, but you can never replace them with suona and pipa. Please be merciful and limit the processing of history. Again, history can come alive, but please don't knock down historical monuments and continue to create your second creation on the ruins (scum). History has its own soul, and the efforts of our ancestors' historians in recreating the prosperous or troubled times a hundred years ago should be respected. To reiterate my point, this is a (what I privately consider to be vulgar) new dramatization disguised as a joke.

Personally, I feel that imitating the bright moon of the year is too obvious and too ridiculing. It feels like a deliberately crafted imitation and too humorous.
