About This Novel
In 1952, after the author of this book arrived at the Korean front line with the creative team headed by Ba Jin, the creative team visited the Chinese People's Volunteer Army headquarters in Hicang and met with Commander Peng Dehuai. He also visited Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea during the war, met with Prime Minister Kim Il Sung, and was welcomed and warmly cared for by the General League of Literature and Art of North Korea. Then we went to Kaesong and visited the Panmunjeom armistice negotiation venue area.
