About This Novel
This book tells the story of Toklik Village, a village inhabited by Uyghurs, Hans, Kazakhs, Mongolians, Russians and other ethnic groups on the vast Koklanmu prairie at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains and on the banks of the beautiful Chinar River. At that time, the villagers adopted their Han children who had fled famine with their kind hearts and broad minds. They treated these children as if they were their own children and gave them the warmth of family.
