What exactly is salvation? This book does not give an answer. Everyone who is infected feels that they have been redeemed and their world has taken on a new look. However, the redemption is still desperate in the end. The heroine herself is a doctor who saves people. She is the patient's salvation. She herself has a contradiction in reality about salvation - is it to save the body or to save the soul? Euthanasia relieves people from pain but kills the body. Is it salvation? The nematode turns the body into a worm nest, but liberates the spirit and no longer suffers. Is it an angel? Killing the infected in the final stage has liberated their spirits, but does everyone want to die to be free? Do we have the right to decide whether another person lives or dies? Even a death that brings happiness? The young man at the end of the article seems to be the only salvation. He is afraid of death, but misses his family, which is his most important treasure. But he must cross the darkness of death to be able to reunite with them. The pain makes him lose weight and commit suicide? He didn't have the courage to continue living when he was young? He also seemed to feel lonely and lonely, without the joy of life. The nematodes freed him, and the dark river turned into a beautiful wilderness, where his dog and family were waiting for him. It was his paradise. It turns out that in the end, death is salvation.

It reads smoothly. As a horror novel about parasites, the author has deep biological knowledge. It's just that the final part about the fire in the sanatorium felt a little rushed, and the two characters didn't perform well as people with strong backgrounds in scientific research and medicine. I think it's good to use parasites on a dying little boy. It reflects the human side, but why did the female doctor surrender in the end? The character Fukuda feels too tool-like.
