No matter how good the writing and plot are, the fact that the protagonist is a fool (even though the operating system has been changed) can turn off many readers, including me. The four most hated people in the courtyard are Silly Zhu, Yi Zhonghai, the deaf old lady, and Xu Damao.
The book is good and the characters are well developed.

It's a very special Siheyuan novel. It's quite interesting to read, but the pace is a bit slow. I feel like it would have cost 5 million words in the 1980s.
OK! At least I think the plot has some fun.
There are a lot of minefields, but not many poisons.
