Go Where There Are Flowers

About This Novel
"Going Where There Are Flowers" is a new work by Chen Hui, a "market writer". It records the experience of the 45-year-old Chen Hui when she decided to leave the market and follow a beekeeper thousands of miles away to pursue flowers and keep bees. She lived in the countryside and started to make a living by setting up a stall in a small town market at the age of 28. She spent half her life focusing on her home and children, and she thought she didn't like going out. She never thought that one day she would be so impulsive that she would start a journey of more than 3,000 kilometers with a beekeeper. In Changgang, Jiangsu, she encountered a ten-level strong wind. First, lightning leaped out, and one after another, the wind came in an instant. In Culai Mountain, Shandong, she liked to go to the big market. The vendors and customers gathered together, and the people were like freshly dug new potatoes. They were everywhere; in Wafangdian, Liaoning, there was only a narrow ditch between the cornfield and the bee farm, and she stood in a tent. From time to time, I saw colorful male pheasants jumping up and down opposite; in Changhe Camp, Liaoning, the specialty was all kinds of insects. A gadfly came from the breeding farm in the southeast and bit her hard. Maybe she thought the southerners tasted good, so she came back to bite her a second time the next day... Four months later, she left the bee farm and returned to her original life. Ordinary people's lives will continue to be miserable. But at least she is no longer her original depressed self.
