In the 40 years since the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, the literary and art circles in Shenzhen have grown from scratch and grown from small to large. When the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles was established, there were only 7 literary and artistic associations (society), and now it has 12 literary and artistic associations in various categories. The Federation of Literary and Art Circles has 103 members at the first literary congress in 1981. As of October 2020, it has formed a literary and artistic army of 911 national association members, 2319 provincial association members, and 9014 municipal association members.
