Sandburg's Selected Poems
by L
About This Novel
Carl Sandburg (1878-1967) was a landmark modern American poet, writer, and editor. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature three times in his life: twice for his poetry collections and once for his biography of Lincoln. During his lifetime, Sandburg was recognized as a monument to contemporary American literature, and his poetry-including "The Chicago Poems," "The Cornshuckers," and "Smoke and Steel"-were particularly well received. This poetry collection selects 206 poems from all the works created by Sandburg throughout his life, including most of the poet's representative works, and fills the gap in the translation and introduction of Sandburg's works in the domestic publishing industry for more than thirty years.
