When I was a kid, I watched the movie "Whiplash" and I didn't understand it very well. But I did feel a bit sad after watching it. Boxers fell down under the gunfire of foreigners. What's the use of the magic whip? The Boxer Rebellion should be considered a strange flower. Others are rebels or bandits, but it claims to support the Qing Dynasty and destroy the foreign countries. According to this book, the Boxers basically have nothing to do with the White Lotus Sect. They all seem to be pure boxers or group practitioners. The preface seems to say that someone holds exactly the opposite opinion, and I don't know where to read that book. Not here.
