About This Novel

This study uses cognitive linguistic theory to study the rhetoric of Shakespeare's plays and their Chinese translation, and explores the cognitive mechanism of metaphor in the rhetorical language of Shakespeare's plays and its cross-cultural translation mechanism. The whole book is divided into two parts. The first is the study of the main figures of speech in Shakespeare's plays and their Chinese translation. The second is the study of images and metaphors, as well as the comparison of the metaphors of "heart", "wind" and "rain" in Shakespeare's plays and Cao's plays. This study systematically explains the rhetoric of Shakespeare's plays and their translation from the theoretical perspective of metaphorical cognition, which helps to better grasp the language of Shakespeare's plays, provides a theoretical basis for the translation of Shakespeare's plays, and contributes to the construction of a theoretical system of cognitive translation studies.
