About This Novel
On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2016, an article titled "The Rural Scene in the Eyes of a Rural Daughter-in-law" described the fateful changes of three generations of her husband's family living in rural Hubei from the perspective of a rural daughter-in-law, triggering a national discussion on rural issues. Taking this opportunity, the author Huang Deng restructured his uninterrupted rural writing in the past thirteen years and wrote this book, which records in detail the ups and downs of the three village families where his husband's family, his own family, and his grandmother's family are located. Huang Deng's true, detailed and in-depth records and analysis of his relatives provide valuable samples for Chinese people to think about rural issues and Chinese social issues.
