About This Novel
In 1945, Tokyo was reduced to a sea of flames during bombings. Young Hamada Toshio discovered his dying neighbor Ize while rescuing people. Ize asked Toshio to return to this place again after eighteen years. In 1963, Toshio revisited his old place as promised, and unexpectedly met Izawa's daughter Keiko there. Keiko has not been heard from since she disappeared in the air raid that year. However, she appears in front of Toshio now, but she still maintains the appearance of eighteen years ago. Keiko told Junfu that he hid in a strange machine like a tin cabinet made by his father during the air raid, and had no idea that so much time had passed outside. Faced with this strange reality, Junfu came up with a ridiculous but only reasonable explanation...
