About This Novel
"It doesn't look like it has changed." Jennifer said on the way home from the institute with Benji after his last sensory surgery. "How could it be so fast? Right, little guy?" I replied, caressing Benji's furry head. Benji, the little hound wrapped in an old blanket, raised his head and looked at us curiously with his big eyes. I could have sworn it smiled. Strictly speaking, Jennifer is right. Benjy was the same as before, at least not significantly. After recovering from various surgeries, he likes to do the same things as before: fetching balls, chasing me around the yard, going for walks - whatever he liked before, he still likes now. When I was watching TV, Benjy would still come over and lie down next to me; when I was working, he would still come over and beg for petting.
