About This Novel

Originally, I wanted to write a memoir about my college, and when I named it, I called it "The Wind Blows Away." It happened to be that year that the song "The Wind Blows Away" by JJ Lin came out. I always thought it was "The Wind Blows The Summer," so I had to change the title to the name of my college group, "Flying Dreams." And later on, I added some new characters, such as Cheng Zheng, Wen Jing, and Han Feng. None of these three people were in the first draft. But this is not all made up, many of them are real stories around us. It has been many years since I graduated. Together with the first piece I wrote, "Empty", I decided to call it "The Days Drift Away in the Wind" to commemorate our college days that we will never return to.
