In the Name of the People (original Film and Television Work)
by Mason Zhou
About This Novel
Zhou Meisen, the first author of "Chinese political novels", devoted eight years and revised his manuscript six times to write a long picture of the ecology of Chinese politics and officialdom under the high pressure of anti-corruption. The TV series of the same name adapted from the book is known as the "2017 New Year's Drama" and "China's Top Political Drama Benchmark". It stars more than 40 powerful actors including Lu Yi and Zhang Fengyi! A project director of a national ministry was reported to have taken tens of millions in bribes. When Hou Liangping, director of the Investigation Division of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, came to search, what he saw was an honest-looking and plainly dressed "old farmer" eating fried noodles in a simple and dilapidated old house. When the mask of this corrupt element was finally torn away, Ding Yizhen, the deputy mayor of Jingzhou City in Province H, who was closely involved in the case, escaped the law with the secret help of a mysterious figure and went into exile overseas by using counter-intelligence means. The clues of the case were ultimately located in the equity competition for a state-owned Dafeng garment factory in H province triggered by the Jingzhou Guangming Lake project. The various political forces involved were intertwined and confusing. Chen Hai, the anti-corruption director of the Provincial Procuratorate of H Province, encountered a bizarre car accident during an investigation. In order to complete the unfinished business of his classmate, the shrewd and capable Hou Liangping was appointed at the critical moment to take over the unfinished business of Chen Hai...

Why!
The world is not as dark as you imagine, it is just darker than you imagine. In the face of money, power, and interests, justice is just a regret medicine when you fail. Life is worthless, so what is the name worth? We live in a materialistic society, but we often talk about the immortality of the spirit of justice. But Yue Fei's justice is dead, what if Hou Liangping's justice is also attacked? In this world of the jungle, the winner is the king and the loser is the enemy, and the weak are like ants. Just imagine how easy it would be for the director of the Public Security Department to kill you with perjury? In the presence of professional treacherous people, black can become white, and white can become black. Imagine again how these two puppets, the sisters surnamed Gao who were born in a peasant family, were insulted, trampled on, and played like toys between them? Poor vulnerable groups! But then again, what happens when the disadvantaged and advantaged groups are interchanged? Gao Yuliang said, who is clean? Aren't ordinary people eager to win when they encounter some benefits? Will they be clean once they become officials? Human nature is like this, and the development of the world is a paradox. Without darkness, how can there be light? I have to ask, what is the purpose of people coming to this world? For yourself or for others? To enjoy the world or yourself?
I know who the big boss is
The big bosses are Secretary Gao and Qi Tongwei. It was Qi Tongwei who killed Chen Hai.
A gust of wind passed, and the spring breeze blew again.
I wonder if there are really people like Hou Liangping and Chen Shishi in real life. . ? ? Express doubts! ! !
The writing is very down-to-earth. After watching this TV series, I was very touched. I thought of my company, how it transformed from a state-owned collective holding enterprise into an individual enterprise step by step. All of them are really unimaginable stories. An old factory director used all kinds of despicable means to get a stable and stable pharmaceutical company into his own hands. He also kicked out a large number of employees who had worked for more than 30 years and arrogantly threatened to give money to officials rather than give any resettlement allowance to employees. If there had not been internal and external collusion between officials, our company would not have "collapsed." He deceived the investment company into temporarily leaving the company on the pretext of bribery, but the investment funds had already been paid to him personally. Moreover, after the equity transfer, he refused to pay the money to the company. He pushed the cause and responsibility for the company's poor performance to the district community. Little did he know that in order to achieve his own goals, he instigated and induced others to mix stolen goods in the company's medicines sold to the United States, and to create a public company. Various contradictions in the company also bribed various employees to deliberately produce substandard products in order to privatize state-owned assets. Later, it was shocking that the district community actually created a convenient door for the old man during the bidding process, causing other bidders to give up because the threshold requirements were too high. If there was no collusion with the officials, it would be difficult for us employees to be convinced! After the acquisition, a series of things that were inconsistent with common sense occurred. He used his vicious methods to lay off employees and threatened not to pay resettlement fees.
After reading the whole story, I still like Hou Liangping and Li Dakang the best, although I had doubts at first when I didn't know the truth. In summary: ①It is recognized that the scale of this book is relatively large. ②The details of this book are relatively real, the content is relatively delicate, and the logical relationship is relatively strong. It is sometimes serious and sometimes funny, and has a certain degree of relaxation. ③The characters in this book have distinct personalities, but their roles are mysterious and full of fun. ④There are many things in this book about how to behave in society that are worth learning from and reflecting on.
Some insights
Finally, I couldn't get over my impatience, so I read this much-discussed novel overnight. I came to the conclusion that I must read the novel first before watching the TV series. Otherwise, the character's image, temperament, speech, and behavior will be fixed. I always feel that the shadow of the actor limits my imagination. The real Hou Liangping should be more resolute, bold and fearless, and Qi Tongwei's TV series also lacks the flavor of a hero. The performance is limited and the imagination is unlimited. I was deeply moved by Chen Shishi's words at the end of the novel, "Our party has finally woken up, and it's still too late to clean up the world and people's hearts!" As an ordinary citizen, I don't have the lofty sentiments of everyone's responsibility. What I read in this book is that there is a bottom line for how people really deserve to live! Somewhat in awe! Three parts of cause and three parts of effect, the way of heaven is reincarnation, who will be spared by heaven!
Sword of Damocles
People's Procuratorate, People's Court, People's Public Security Bureau. In the name of the people, we should forge ahead. The Zhao family and his son have become a power game. In the whirlpool, there are only a few people who can still not forget their original intentions. The two people who impressed me the most are the positive character Prosecutor Ji Changming. He can be said to be professional in his actions, and his words and deeds are all correct. In the anti-corruption battle, he can be regarded as the best master in the novel. He is able to make the anti-corruption fight flourish with ease and step by step. The other is the villain Qi Tongwei. This is a thought-provoking character. If he had been born during the Revolutionary War, I have no doubt that he would have become a general or even a martyr. His tragedy cannot be entirely blamed on him. As a rural child with no political resources, when Liang Lu borrowed her father's power to trample on him time and time again, he was already dead, kneeling on the university playground. Imprisoning power in the cage of the system is an important issue for the party and the country.
