The Wind Rises in Longxi (original Tv Series of the Same Name Starring Chen Kun and Bai Yu)
by Ma Boyong
About This Novel
The TV series "The Wind Rises in Longxi" starring Chen Kun and Bai Yu is adapted from Ma Boyong's novel of the same name, telling the story of the life-and-death struggle on the secret intelligence front during the Three Kingdoms era. From Hanzhong to the entire land of Yongliang, the scorching war between Wei and Shu stretched on both sides of the Qinling Mountains. The war is strong and the storm is surging. This is an era where heroes emerge in large numbers. However, war is not only about the light of swords and shadows, nor is it just about flesh-and-blood combat. Around the birth of Shuhan's new crossbow machine, a silent war broke out in an unknown corner. They fight in the heart of the enemy, active in the dangerous dark side, or dormant within their own side, engaged in scavenger work. History books will not record these events, nor leave their names, and even contemporaries will not be aware of the existence of these people, but they are indeed quietly promoting history and are indispensable, because this is a magnificent wave surging in the shadow of the times, a life and death competition on the secret intelligence front in the Three Kingdoms era. This is a silent war.

The Wind Rises - Comment on "The Wind Rises in Longxi"
Prince Ma's famous masterpiece. Taking Zhuge Liang's departure from Qishan and his expedition to the Northern Wei Dynasty as the background, he used real historical materials combined with reasoning and suspense, and on the premise of not distorting or destroying historical materials, to depict the lives of a group of scavengers who were not found in official history and silently contributed to the revival of the Han Dynasty. The book breaks the image of "Zhuge Liang as a wise man and a demon" in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and allows Zhuge Liang to return to the human world. In the novel, Zhuge Liang played a huge game of chess. In order to centralize military and political power and realize the "revival of the Han Dynasty", he used Hu Zhong and Gu Zheng as swords to depose Li Yan with conspiracy tactics! Xun Xu, a small Shu Han bureaucrat, took over the Siwen Cao Jing'an Division from his boss who died unexpectedly of illness. He worked hard to keep the secrets of the crossbow machine and outsmarted Wei spy Mi Chong. He was demoted to Soochow because the crossbow machine plan was stolen. Although the success was on the verge of failure, Xunxu's wise fight with Mi Chong showed excellent intelligence personnel qualities, which was highly appreciated by Zhuge Kongming. While nominally demoted to Jiangdong, Zhuge Kongming granted him secrets and asked him to take the initiative to collect intelligence on Jiandong. Xun Xu obtained the information about Sun Quan of the Eastern Wu Dynasty proclaiming himself emperor, accomplished extraordinary feats, and was restored to his original position. After returning to China, he was unwilling to deal with the "theft of crossbow machine secrets". With the help of Wei traitor Xu Yong and returned spy Du Bi (Chen Gong), he began to trace the most important factor that caused his failure that year, the "eclipse dragon" lurking in the upper echelons of the Shu Han regime. When Zhulong was successfully captured by Xun Xu, it was supposed to be a torture and interrogation. Unexpectedly, Zhulong's aura completely overshadowed Xun Xu's. I knew that the story was going to be reversed. As expected, Prince Ma gave us a life-like Zhuge Kongming. In our hearts, Zhuge Liang should be a god-man who is "very wise but close to a demon". He is a peerless minister who "considers the world's plans three times, and helps the old ministers' hearts in two dynasties." Such characters always feel illusory. The reason why a person is a human being is that he should be able to live life and be able to eat and fart. "The wind blows in Longxi" gives us a refreshing experience. The ultimate conspiracy is Zhuge Liang's selfishness. Everything was arranged by Zhuge Liang. In order to stabilize the Shu Han regime, he adopted a "spy within espionage" strategy and instructed Zhu Long to become a double agent to obtain Wei's intelligence. The picture of the stolen crossbow machine is just a play directed by Zhuge Kongming in order to gain Zhulong's trust. A more clever method is to remove the constraints of Li Yan, who is also a minister of life, and cleverly take advantage of the east wind of Wei to force Li Yan to defect step by step, and then catch him on the way. What was even more clever was the follow-up persuasion combination, which made Li Yan docilely confess his crime and let him go. What's even more sad is that with expectations and gratitude! "The Wind Rises in Longxi" ends with Zhuge Liang dying of illness in Wuzhangyuan during his sixth Northern Expedition, and Li Yan realizing that there was no hope of his comeback and ending in depression, as the ending of the book. To paraphrase a popular saying, it's not that Zhuge didn't work hard, but Shu Han was actually destroyed by heaven. What can I do? Time is also fate! Finally, I use the words of Xin Qiji of the Southern Song Dynasty as a farewell: Under the Yugu Tower, the clear river water, how many passers-by shed tears in the middle? Looking northwest to Chang'an, one can see countless mountains. The green mountains cannot cover it, and it will flow eastward after all. When Jiang was feeling sad at night, he heard partridges deep in the mountains.
good book
This is the first time I have seen a story about the Three Kingdoms written from the perspective of espionage. The book game is like a chess game. Before you understand every turn of the author, a big chess game has been laid out. It can only be done by a master, but the author has extraordinary skills. Highly recommended! ! !
The sense of lack of wind direction always highlights the lack of completion.
The Military Affairs Department is at odds with the Jing'an Division, and the Central Command is at odds with the Military Command. It seems that there is a historical tradition of discord between the military and the intelligence agencies. 😂😂😂
