Two single-parent families, Su Qin, a chemical plant accountant, and Ding Bogang, a worker, met. Ding Chenggong, the unemployed son of Ding's family, develops a vague love affair with Xiao Lan, Su Qin's beautiful and motivated daughter who is dedicated to studying.
