About This Novel
Mr. Qian Zhongshu's most classic work is also the only full-length novel. It can be called a satirical classic with a unique style in the history of modern Chinese literature. Extensive reading to express feelings about the siege
The name "Besieged City" has caused me, a young reader, to think deeply. The tragedy lies in the fact that we are all trapped in a besieged city and cannot escape. The feeling lies in the fact that in a besieged city, there is not no way out; only those who are not good at exploring their own shortcomings and have the courage to change themselves. Even if you escape this siege, you will fall into the next siege, whether it is work or marriage.
The physical book I read, Mr. Qian Zhongshu's humor is very wise. He describes scenes of driving on a rainy day, crowded carriages, women wearing makeup, and the sound of snoring. They are all very touching (you can also excerpt them). Fang Hongjian is just the epitome and representative of a certain group of people. There are always people who are ignorant and do nothing. They are always complaining and never ask about their own faults. For these people, marriage is a besieged city, but if they escape from the city of marriage, they will still enter the next city. For people, cities are everywhere in their lives. Some people are comfortable in a city, while others are always thinking about escaping. Little do they know that there will be a city waiting for you on the road ahead. For you, there are cities under siege everywhere.

Although times are different, it can still be seen today. The characters and events in the novel are vividly depicted, the plot is delicate, and the language is rich and vivid.
