About This Novel

I moved to Qinglongyuan Courtyard and met Fatty Shi. Fatty Shi was rumored to be one way or another in people's reputation. Some said he smoked heavy cigarettes, while others said he had been arrested by the Public Security Bureau. But in the end, the position of director of the neighborhood committee belonged to him. After being introduced by a friend, I moved to a residential compound called Qinglongyuan. This courtyard is very small, with no gardens or lawns, and a total of eight buildings that are irregular and cramped. There was originally a guard room designed at the entrance of the courtyard, but it seemed that there had never been a guard. The two huts were used as small shops selling tobacco, alcohol and candies, and a linoleum tent was set up outside the eaves, with large items such as brooms, mops, coal stoves and plastic pots, buckets and pots placed in a messy mess.
