About This Novel

"Kate's Choice" is the fourth book in the "Hogarth Shakespeare" classic rewriting series. Adapted from Shakespeare's controversial comedy "The Taming of the Shrew" by Ann Taylor. The heroine Kate is the epitome of all ordinary girls in our lives: she has hope for life and yearns for love, but reality always teaches her a lesson called "inevitable compromise." She has character, ideas, and is not pretentious. What should have been waiting for her was this ending: she was expelled from school for contradicting her teacher, and she was not allowed to work in a kindergarten to earn family income despite not liking children. Not only did she have to take care of the housework every day, she also had to endure the supervision and gossip from her relatives and colleagues: "If you don't get married, you will be ruined by love." She was trapped, either temporarily or forever. In this situation, Piotr's appearance is like an execution sentence, and the future becomes no longer in suspense...
