About This Novel

Lin Yun, 36 years old, whose wife died young, works as a middle-level private enterprise, and is a single father. Recently, he feels that he has encountered a mid-life crisis. He encountered difficulties in his career, fell into a cold war with his 14-year-old daughter at home, and suffered from shoulder periarthritis, making him miserable every day. Just in the past few days, he also discovered a secret - his daughter was becoming a magical girl. A hero who uses the body of Cardamom to fight against extraordinary monsters and protect the city from attacks. This is the common people's perception of magical girls. But he knows very well that becoming a magical girl is life-threatening. Want to stop her? Or should we respect our daughter's choice and protect her in other ways? Looking at the dusty heart flower in the closet, Lin Yun, a former magical girl who had retired for 19 years, fell into the third major decision in her life.

Pretty good, although the subject matter is a bit silly

I didn't expect this book at first, but I didn't expect it to be surprisingly good. In terms of writing style, few of the hundreds of books on the new book list can compare to this one. It's the middle-aged uncle turning into a little lolita. This is the first time I've read a book in so many years (except for the transformation story, and this one is a small account, and I have quite a lot of accounts).

Love the delphinium so much

I like delphinium so much, it's like a part of me. The dusty haze of the flower of the heart suddenly found that his heart seemed to have never been protected. People who were disconnected found resonance and established links. I will also have a delphinium in the future, although only half of it. Because I don't have the 36-year-old experience of the original Delphinium, nor do I have a lover. Some are just too much sadness. My heart now has a shape, and that is the delphinium. Delphinium will always accompany me and protect me forever.

Congratulations: rectify people's hearts and calm down lies

Today is 2026.1.1, And this book was put on the shelves on 2023.1.1. After reading the update, I think Hu Yan is a "highly sensitive" person. Hu Yan is a part-time writer. This book already has 1.4 Million words, Some Moves the World has 4 million words, and Some Lord has 5 million words. The author can get about 1 yuan for a monthly ticket, but he will be pressured by his boss during the day and cricketed by readers at night. This congratulatory note was made by me.

I opened the novel and saw that there was no magical girl in it. The words "Easy Everyday Life" were written crookedly on each page. I couldn't sleep anyway, so I read carefully for half the night, and then I saw the words between the words. There were two words written all over the book, which were "knife".

Bring down the leave building

Considering that sending leave requests and deleting them repeatedly in the main text will cause the directory to be refreshed and affect the readers' reading experience, we will focus on this building to notify and update leave requests in the future. Working part-time and staying up late to create for three consecutive months has made my work and rest increasingly chaotic, and my migraines have become more and more serious. For the sake of my health and my work, I may not continue to stay up late to create in the future. The updates will be more willful, but this is to better ensure the quality of my creation and articles. I hope you can understand.

In the following plot, if the male protagonist's wife is not dead and he is a villain, It must be interesting to see the male protagonist being killed by his wife in order to save his daughter, and then the daughter regretting it after knowing the truth of all this. It would be best if the daughter is seduced by the villain and breaks up with the hero, and the hero saves the daughter and then blocks the knife for her daughter. After leading his daughter to escape from danger, he died in his daughter's arms. After removing the magic costume, the daughter discovered that the senior she respected the most was actually the father she had always hated. It turns out that I have always misunderstood my father. It is not that my father does not care about me, but he has always been silently guarding me, but I have not cared about my father at all. Before he died, the hero used his last strength to tell his daughter not to avenge him, but to live happily.

Just resume the update

Alas, when the author stopped updating, I thought he had turned into a magical girl to have children. It seemed like there was no big problem. Let me talk about my feelings first. As an elder, the protagonist is definitely qualified. Regardless of whether she is transformed or not, she takes care of the younger ones. Moreover, Luo Ji's thinking is in line with the calmness unique to his age. (Come to think of it, I seem to be called uncle now even though I am only 25...) It feels like it will never capsize, but as soon as it is turned on, the dramatic effect is absolutely full. There is a feeling that I hope she will always be as stable as an old dog, and I hope she will fall into trouble. In short, I just can't stop.

A belated and affectionate review of "Get Off Work and Become a Magical Girl"

I have wanted to write a review for this novel for a long time. After a month, I finally made up my mind to write it. This review may be seen as a "brainless blow" or a "knee-licking", but I really, really love this work. So, while this review will inevitably come through the lens of a fanboy, I will try to be relatively objective. This is the first time I have written such a long review. It can even be said to be the first time I have written my thoughts after reading it. Please be kind to me. For convenience, I will use the name "delphinium" instead of "Lin Yun" in the comments. (As of the time of writing this review, I have read Chapter 310.) [⚠️ Serious spoilers, caution ⚠️] So, let's start with the characters. 1) About the protagonist My love for the main character Delphinium is beyond words. I really, really admire the brilliance of humanity in protagonists, and Delphinium is undoubtedly an excellent example of this. From the beginning of the story, we learn that she is a broken person: her family has suffered a terrible tragedy-the death of her wife. As the plot unfolds, we learn that she is also burdened with a heavy past-the serious injury to her soul crystal, the trauma of war, being banished from the kingdom, and more. It can be seen that she is tired, really tired, which is why she chose to retire. I can't simply define this choice as a "wrong", no, it's a very human decision. It is true that this decision affected the final fate of her wife (I 100% believe that if she had not retired at that time, Anya might not have suffered that ending), and many people may also think that she should continue to be a magical girl at that time (I think so too), but that was her own choice. Like I said, she was tired and afraid of letting her companions down again. The whole story is a journey of self-redemption that she took. Let's talk about the decisions she made in the story. Reading this, I have never encountered a moment where I wanted to shout "What are you doing!? You chose the wrong method at all!" On the contrary, Delphinium's actions and decisions almost always coincide with my imagination of "what I would do if it were me." Her past, her motivations, her every move, her goals, her care for her daughter and children - all are handled impeccably. All of the above put her at the top of almost all the protagonist lists in my mind, second only to Rudeus. After reading these 310 chapters, she has almost become a family member to me and is deeply imprinted in my heart. I can no longer imagine life without her. 2) About other characters I won't go into this section at length because it might be tiring to read. Let's talk about the three protagonists first. The author does a good job of depicting their growth trajectories, inner drives, and personality changes, and I have nothing to fault about that. What is particularly worth mentioning is the unique personality of each girl. Xiaolu's jealousy, Jingxuan's innocence, and Xiaojin's quirkiness make me laugh every time I see them. Of course, Xiaolu's wild theories always make people laugh (but her conjecture that "delphinium likes Anya" is not completely unreasonable if you think about it carefully, it can even be said to be quite close to the truth). The supporting characters are also well-cast. For example, the girl with the "claw marks" at the beginning of the second volume. When the author first introduced her into the plot, I had mixed feelings about her, and I didn't understand why the author spent so much time on her. But after she really left, every time I read a chapter, I secretly expected that she would suddenly break into Lin Yun's office again and start... Asking for money as usual. There are also Mo He, Aso Enxiang, and Hong Siyu. These characters are also very detailed and vivid. Everyone has their own clear motivations, positions, and opinions. 3) About the world view (and my views on "watering") I really enjoy setting up detailed worlds. I have no dissatisfaction with the world view of this novel, only admiration. The author describes his world in great detail (even if it only ends at Chapter 310). Fangting City in the material world, the alien world on the border, and the Magic Kingdom. There are so many cities in the kingdom, intricate power structures, scenic spots, and their respective histories and daily lives. There is also the pyramid of power in the kingdom: the five gemstone scepters, which control the five courtyards, which are located in the five capitals. Some courtyards (such as the Magic Academy) are even divided into different factions. Regarding the kingdom, the author describes the life there in such detail - even if it is just a pastry chef, or an ordinary magical girl - so detailed that you can clearly imagine your own life there. I really don't think this delicate depiction of the world is "watered down". It's like Klein learning about the changes in the world from newspapers, or the author of "Jobless Reincarnation" spending an entire chapter writing about Rudeus wandering around the city just to pick out a birthday gift for his wife. There is nothing wrong with this kind of description in my opinion. If this is considered "watering", then I am willing to drink up all the "water" written by the author. At this point, this slightly detailed review comes to an end. Next, I want to talk about my personal feelings and ties to this novel. About update speed I have nothing to say about this. All I know is that the author used to update much faster than he does now. But I am also in no position to complain because I have no idea what the author is going through in his life. So, I accept the current update frequency. First, it allows me to stay with the work and continue to support it for as long as possible. Secondly, if this speed allows the author to write comfortably and with high quality, then why not? For me, quality is always more important than quantity. Third, as I just said, I don't know what the author's life is like. Maybe he is ill, or maybe he is involved in trivial matters in real life. If these factors prevent frequent updates, I can completely understand. Dear author, if you are lucky enough to read this comment, please know that as long as I and my account are still there, I will always support you. A little personal connection To some extent, this novel also gave me the motivation to study hard. I just started reading this novel at the end of December last year, just in time for the exam season in college. That was the first time in the entire semester that I had the idea to study hard, pass all exams well, and continue to receive scholarships so that I can support the author materially. As you can see, I did it. At this point, my review comes to an end. Author, I wish you all the best in life and, most importantly, good health. Thank you for creating such a great piece of work. I hope you can continue to bring joy to readers with new chapters in the long, long future, and I will support you as always during this long time.

I feel that Hu Yanda's life experience should be quite rich, but he often stays up late...
