About This Novel
In 1991, I was born into a poor family with the destiny of the sun, moon, stars and earth. My father died when I was two years old, and the family was involved in a family dispute. My mother carried me and my livelihood on her weak shoulders. He studied in many schools, graduated from elementary school at the age of five and a half, and traveled around the world as an adult, leaving his footprints in Shanghai, Xinjiang, Guangzhou, and Urumqi. Dozens of jobs such as baking, construction, delivery, food delivery, and takeout are full of hardships at the bottom; workplace disputes, many ups and downs have smoothed the edges but the original intention has not changed. Close relatives pass away one after another, leaving endless thoughts; as the mother gets older and the younger brothers grow up, the responsibilities on their shoulders become heavier. Destiny has accompanied me through wind and rain, endured hardships, and even though half my life has been rough, I still move forward towards the sun. This is half my life and a true portrayal of a generation of migrant workers.
