About This Novel

The Yuan Dynasty was an important stage in the historical development of the Tibetan people. Tibet ended more than four hundred years of melee and division, and was officially brought under the direct administrative jurisdiction of the central dynasty, becoming an integral part of China's administrative territory in the Yuan Dynasty. This book focuses on the administrative system issues that governed Tubo in the Yuan Dynasty. It systematically and in-depth discusses the three forces that restrict local administrative affairs in Tubo: the status and role of King Chuzhen, Emperor Shi and King Bailan, and examines the institutions under their jurisdiction one by one. It corrected some mistakes of predecessors, or questioned the old theory, and established a new theory, so that related issues could be explained comprehensively, and a new way was opened up for the study of the local political history of Tubo in the Yuan Dynasty.
