About This Novel

"Research on the Issues of Household Registration in the Qin and Han Dynasties" is a late-stage project funded by the National Social Science Fund, with 350,000 words. It mainly studies the household registration as the lower class of society in the Qin and Han Dynasties, and its relationship with the officials, imperial power, and the nobility system. Although these issues have attracted academic attention, there are many ambiguities, especially the research on the relationship between the three is even more weak. On the basis of traditional documents, combined with new archaeological historical data, this book re-studies the household registration of the Qin and Han Dynasties from the perspectives of institutional history, social history, and ideological history, and draws some new and well-founded viewpoints.
