Childhood in the World, My University
About This Novel
"Childhood in the World, My University" is a trilogy of Gorky's famous autobiographical novels. It is a colorful historical picture painted by Gorky based on his own life path and the social life of Russia in the 1870s and 1880s. It is an outstanding artistic treasure. The protagonist Alyosha in the work is not only a portrayal of Gorky's early life, but also an artistic model of general significance for the Russian working people to move towards a new life after going through arduous and complicated tempering.

It's very well written. I finished reading a lot of it, but this book is very wrong.

I had read Gorky's The Human Trilogy before, and I thought it was quite interesting. When I first picked it up this time, I felt there were some gaps in the writing. I read it all before I got into the mood. Gorky's writing is relatively simple, and even some passages are not so clearly described. It requires repeated reading to barely understand, but it is plain and friendly. The most important thing is that Gorky said that these outstanding figures broadened his spiritual river, like giving him a bath, and his books can also be said to have the same effect on readers (at least me). So after reading it the first time with gusto, I immediately read it in reverse order and read it the second time. When I was on the phone with my mother two days ago, I specifically asked about the situation of my mother's grandmother in the past. I will learn more about my hometown's stories when I have the opportunity in the future. I also told my son a lot of stories about what I experienced or witnessed when I was a child. "College" is inferior to "Childhood" and "In the World". The latter two use more space to focus on describing some characters. In particular, many characters in "In the World", according to the author's original words, have extremely complicated thoughts and are difficult to understand. Characters that even the author cannot figure out are artistic images with depth!
