This book is a collection of short essays composed by the author of his observations and reflections on the urban culture, political history, and people in the city of Hong Kong, China. It is divided into three series: The first series mainly talks about the observation and thinking of Hong Kong's urban details and urban life (old buildings, commercial life). The second volume mainly talks about the observation and thinking of Hong Kong culture (media, images, campus). The third volume is mainly interviews with representative new generation Hong Kong cultural figures. It is the focus of this book and covers many aspects such as artistic creation, local literature, poetry and comics, independent publishing, citizen media, social movements, and international relations.
