About This Novel
An unknown virus broke out across the world on "World Data Day". The infected people transformed into extremely aggressive zombies in a short period of time, and social order completely collapsed within three weeks. The story starts from the survival experiences of the four protagonists in different locations (urban, rural, mountainous, and wilderness), depicting their struggles and choices amid scarcity of resources, internal collapse, and external threats. With the discovery of the unnatural origin of the virus and the existence of secret government experiments, the survivors gradually realized that the real enemy was not zombies, but the remnants of the old order hidden in the ruins. In the end, the four people traveled through the northern permafrost and converged at an abandoned scientific research station, where they found the truth in the data core - the virus was a failed product of the man-made experiment of "consciousness transfer". In the final battle, Lin Xiaoyu activated the virus suppression program at the expense of himself, and mankind ushered in hope for rebirth.
