About This Novel
This work is set in an imaginary era. It tells the story of Si Yanzhao, the fourth son of the Dawan Kingdom, who was impeached by the prince and sent to Liaodong to search for thousand-year-old snow ginseng because he released a nine-tailed fox on the hunting ground. In the virgin forest of Liaodong, he suffered a hemorrhage and was rescued by the ginseng picker Shen'er. After getting along for a period of time, she fell in love with Shen'er and brought her back to the palace of Dayuan Kingdom. I didn't want Shen'er to die at the hands of Liu Meiniang when Si Yan was summoned to visit Yan State. By the time Si Yan was recalled to the palace, he had already returned to power. Si Yanzhao was heartbroken but could do nothing about the murderer. On the night of the fifteenth full moon, the nine-tailed fox repaid Si Yanzhao for saving his life and took revenge by resurrecting his corpse.
