After the Hibiscus Disappears
by Wang Yuetong
About This Novel
They were best friends. One fell in love and returned home and said she wanted to remain single to the end. The other mysteriously disappeared and died in the study room of her classmate's boyfriend. She was looking for clues behind her mysterious disappearance, and found out that her husband and her ex-boyfriend were actually brothers. She heard the secret sounds of flowers blooming and falling, and she was looking for herself on the way to find her.

The novel is overall good! The relationship between the characters is clear, the story is strong, the reasoning is logical, and the main characters (Bai Hibiscus, He Yun, me, Chu Han Douzha) are lifelike! The first chapters are orderly and attractive, but later on they become a bit messy, with some fighting between the primary and secondary lines, and too many sideways narratives. After Guhu commits suicide, I personally think it's time to kill Che in the novel... At least I don't want to continue reading... Chaff's legacy is too long, which is a bit unconventional. It is impossible for a person who is determined to commit suicide to explain in such detail. Bai Hibiscus's suicide note is authentic and credible! To be honest, the whole novel is pretty good! If possible, I suggest you re-write it into a novella of about 20,000 words, make it more compact, and the story has more ups and downs. I think it may be able to capture readers better! The above is purely personal nonsense. Don't worry, don't be angry. I'm trying to stab this guy in the mountains without any protection... I hope you'll forgive me.
