About This Novel

This is a non-fiction work that attempts to use close and long-term observation to perceive the psychological impact of family members going out to work on underage students, and to describe their true life situations. It is part of the "2015 White Paper on the Mental Conditions of Left-behind Children in China". The original meaning of the word "left-behind" implies a certain kind of responsibility. However, I don't see what responsibility those children whose families have left behind need to bear - the responsibility does not belong to their age. If there is any, it is imposed by life, that is, to endure the pain accumulated by historical and practical problems on them. Please believe that understanding is a more precious emotion than sympathy, and for rural children, it is also more acceptable to them.
