About This Novel
Why did I study the May Fourth Movement? This is indeed a question that needs to be asked. Although, as a person who studies history, or thinks about history, I don't have as many boundaries as people with a major. I often jump back and forth between the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, fishing here and there. If I have the conditions, I would dare to touch ancient history. A person like me who comes from a wild way has no family rules, so there are no restrictions, and I don't want to have restrictions. However, I have never been enthusiastic about the May Fourth Movement. I have read some relevant historical materials, but I just can't arouse my interest. To a large extent, this is because there is a stereotype that the May Fourth Movement was like the Taiping Rebellion. Too many people took action and the big fish were all gone.
