This is a collection of short and medium suspense horror stories. The title of the book is taken from "The Classic of Mountains and Seas". "Ye Cry" is the name of a disease in traditional Chinese medicine. Babies can fall asleep peacefully during the day, but cry uneasily at night, which is called night cry. In this book, it can be understood as an innate fear. Each piece in this book is a separate story. Most of the protagonists in the stories are ordinary people. Almost every story depicts and satirizes the bad roots of human nature, distilling people's worries, fears, and desires into story elements.
