About This Novel
"Emperor Kangxi" is the 66th volume of the mythological masterpiece "Xintian Ji" (a series of 120 novels), written by the outstanding contemporary Chinese novelist Zhou Jingfeng. After Kangxi's death, his soul ascended to heaven, where he saw the people crying and mourning for the common people. Holding the "Dingjiang Jade Pendant" into Nantianmen, I saw the immortal officials using incense to judge the rank, and the people's livelihood was in decline. He served as a bachelor of the Zhishi Pavilion and investigated the sufferings in the three realms: drought and lack of water in the mortal realm, plagues in the demon realm that could not be saved, and food in heaven that was full and unable to be distributed. Abolition of false etiquette, promotion of actual achievements, crackdown on corruption, opening of classics, establishment of laws, development of agriculture and commerce, establishment of medicine and education, and establishment of imperial examinations. The innovation was criticized by the old immortals, but it won the support of the people. With the wisdom of mortal emperors, we can break the long-standing shortcomings in heaven and promote the common governance of the three realms. He finally became the "Emperor Saint", and his legacy became an eternal beacon: pragmatism for the people, compatibility and symbiosis, passing on the fire, and the world will always be peaceful.
