About This Novel
"Heirloom" is a TV series produced by Dongyang Huanyu Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. It will be broadcast exclusively on Youku on May 19, 2022. It tells the story of the Yi family, the Shanghai department store giant, in the late 1920s. Yi Xinghua was forced to recall his eldest daughter Zhong Ling, second daughter Zhong Yu, and youngest daughter Zhong Xiu because his only son Yi Zhongjie abandoned business and became a doctor. Zhong Ling is a lady from a famous family, elegant and quiet. Zhong Yu was raised by his maternal grandfather, a wealthy businessman from Nanyang, and is smart and capable. Zhongxiu studied in the United States, he is romantic and naive. The three daughters have different biological mothers, incompatible temperaments, and grew up in very different environments. In order to inherit the Xinghua Department Store, the three of them came up with their own unique strategies and argued endlessly. Yi Xinghua did not expect that the return of the three phoenixes would cause an uproar. Fearing that the family relationship would be hurt, Yi Xinghua was unable to choose the final heir.
