About This Novel
This book tells the story of the Balaght clan, the descendants of Genghis Khan. During the Junggar rebellion, Bart, who carried the hope of his family, made great achievements on the battlefield. The Manchu and Qing Dynasty official Zhenghuang Banner, Tongzhi, took advantage of Bart's military exploits and shot a cold arrow behind his back. Tongzhi was worried that the matter would be exposed, so he married his daughter Tonghua to Bart. After Tonghua arrived at the Ba family, the Ba family was bullied by her everywhere. During the second rebellion of Junggar, Bart met his sworn brother on the battlefield, only to learn that the arrow behind his back was indeed made by Tongzhi. Bart, who returned victorious, went to the imperial city to sue Tongzhi. Emperor Yongzheng suspected that Bart had been incited to rebel, and punished Bart. Tongzhi hypocritically bought people's hearts in Baotou, but made trouble for Bart. Liu Tongxun, an imperial envoy from the imperial court, discovered everything and rescued Bart. Tongzhi was executed. During the third rebellion of Junggar, Bart once again made military exploits. When Emperor Qianlong wanted to make Bart a first-class official, Bart politely declined and retired to his hometown.
