About This Novel
This book is a novel and a companion volume to "The Last Old Hunter". It tells the legendary story of how Wang Errui, the second daughter of hunter Wang Dazhi, grew up to be a resourceful and brave huntress who suppressed bandits and defended her family and country in the Northeast. The author's purpose in writing this novel is to let people remember the history of the Heilongjiang people's arduous and indomitable struggle, to know the hungry, cold, and arduous life of the Heilongjiang people living in the ice and snow, to understand the customs and natural resources of Heilongjiang, to inherit the heroic, tenacious, and fearless spirit of the Heilongjiang people to fight against nature, beards, and devils, and to remember those heroes and martyrs who resisted aggression in order to protect their homeland and country.
