In the process, the protagonist discovers that the entire human history is a secret "Desire Instruction Manual" written by the man in gray, the shadow, and the true self. The novel expresses thoughts about desire and redemption through the story of "Shadow Transaction" like "Faust", with novel techniques and exquisite structure.
