Murakami Asahido Diary: How to Find the Whirlpool Cat

About This Novel
"How to Find the Whirlpool Cat" is one of Haruki Murakami's essay series, a total of 16 essays, written during Murakami's lectures in the United States from 1994 to 1995. The content can be divided into three categories: first, the author's experiences, joys and troubles while living in the United States; second, interesting talks about animals; and third, his travels around the world, including the little-known trip to Northeast China. During this period, Murakami's calm and serious comments on American society were already written in "The Ultimate Sad Foreign Language", and "How to Find the Way of the Whirlpool Cat" focuses on his daily life. To this end, Murakami deliberately changed the tone of his writing, making the writing casual and unrestrained. This new edition adds 17 large-scale illustrations by Murakami Haruki's old partner, the painter Mizumaru Anzai, and 54 photos taken by Murakami's wife Yoko Murakami.
