About This Novel
This case was told to me by the boss. He is a criminal police officer from the Public Security Bureau in the area where I live. Before he told me about the case, he said something like an opening statement - Don't think that strange stories can only happen in dramas. The reality is that no matter how mediocre and dull our real life is, what it lacks is never drama. If we are not aware of this, it only means that our feelings and understanding of life are too slow and superficial. His words cast a mysterious tone on the whole narrative at the beginning. It should have happened in the evening of that day, around the time when the TV program was broadcast on the Xinwen Network. Because terror always happens when people least expect it, and this is the only time of the day when people are least focused. Just as thousands of lights were lighting up, a vegetable farmer living on the outskirts of the city went to the local police station to report the incident.
