Born on May 4, 1957 in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture. Her husband is the famous mystery novelist Orihara Kazuo. Shinjin Kiyomi University studied at the French Department, Faculty of Letters, Aoyama Gakuin University. She often attended lectures on novel writing at the cultural center.
