About This Novel
Grant Myler, a young hop merchant, is frightened and angry by his new neighbor, while his wife, Ephesus, begins to behave strangely. Mailer made certain observations and actions, thinking that there must be a problem between his wife and his neighbor, and something made him feel uncomfortable. In order to solve the mystery, in order to completely understand the face, as well as his wife's strange behavior and uneasiness, he asked Holmes for help.
